Sable Square is a fairly new Outlet Mall - basically a grouping of factory shops selling excess stock at reduced prices. Most articles about Sable Square quote an average 30% reduction in pricing on stock sold in the factory shops for major brands. The catch is that the stock is excess and normally from lines that have already ended.
The mall itself is new and well finished. It has been designed with a village feel and the stores are arranged around a central outdoor courtyard. There are many factory shops including Adidas, Levis, Zoom, Mr Price Sport, Pick n Pay, Reebock, Rage shoes, Lee Cooper, and Tommy Hilfiger. Most of these stores have at least some good prices.
There is plenty of parking, and currently the first 2 hours of parking is free.
- Sable Square is fairly close to the huge Canal Walk shopping centre
- From the N1 take the Sable Road off ramp towards Canal Walk
- At the end of Sable Road there is a sharp right bend and the road becomes Ratanga Road
- Continue along Ratanga through several traffic lights until you reach Bosmansdam Drive - a large intersection
- Sable Square is on your left here
- Turn left into Bosmansdam and immediately left into the Sable Square parking area
Total waste of time, almost
Total waste of time, almost all of the decent shops have closed down. It is hardly a discount mall as they would like you to believe.
Who’s idea was it to build another shopping mall less than 1000 meters from canal walk?
Now it is a depressing place to go with many empty shop units and water feature that don’t work anymore.
