Barnato's is the restaurant in the recently renovated Kimberly Hotel on Roeland Street. They serve foods incorporating Asian, French and South African influences with fairly large helpings and reasonable prices.
The restaurant itself has an early 1900s feeling with a copper pressed ceiling, chandeliers, fire place and a cocktail bar more than 100 years old.
On Sundays there is a two course roast set menu for R60 per person with a live jazz band between 12:00 and 15:00. It is also claimed (unverified) that between May and September main courses are 50% off.

Getting There
- Barnato's Restaurant is on the corner of Roeland Street and Buitenkant Street inside the Kimberly Hotel
- If you are De Waal coming towards the city then continue straight down into Roeland Street
- At the large intersection with Buitenkant (last traffic lights before T-junction) the Kimberly Hotel is across and on your left
