Col Cacchio is a popular Italian restaurant chain and the branch in Cape Town's foreshore is as good as any other. It is a large and open restaurant with wooden floors and an open feel.
There is a large selection of thin-based pizzas with all the popular options and more unusual favorites like the Tre Colori (smoked salmon, sour cream, and caviar) and the Prostituto (avocado, bacon, feta, and spinach). This restaurant gets busy in the early evenings so try to make a booking or you may find yourself at the bar waiting for a table.
- Ask your waiter for pizza recommendations - there are so many options it can be a little daunting
- Get onto Buitengracht (this is what the N2 becomes as it runs past the city)
- Hans Strijdom is the last right turn if you are heading down the hill, or the first left if you are going up the hill
- As you enter Hans Strijdom Col Cacchio is on the ground floor on your left
- Take the first left off Hans Strijdom and then turn left into the parking area (R5 for parking)
