Gourmet Burger is a great little burger restaurant near the bottom of Long Street. The restaurant is small (only around 10 tables) and has been well decorated - modern and funky decorations and finishes. There is a selection of about 35 burgers of quite some variety.

The burgers are tasty, well presented, and fairly large. There is a fairly wide selection including beef, chicken, lamb, vegetarian, prawns and even calamari burgers. All burgers come on a lightly toasted roll and with fries which are also good. The whole menu is available on their site (click on 'The Daily Burger' in the menu).

Gourmet Burger struggles to compete with the more widely known Royale Eatery higher on Long Street but is actually well worth the visit. It has a more efficient and cleaner feeling and the burgers are also good - perhaps not as good.

Tips
  • There are several appealing vegetarian options for those who aren't keen on meat
  • You don't get much tomato sauce with your burger - just ask for more
  • The hot chocolate is large and delicious

You get your chips in a tiny bowel more commonly used for toothpicks.
Yes it looks fancy, but let’s not forget why we go to a restaurant, to eat!
The burger was nice, but the portion was too small. If only you had increased your portion of chips, you would have had a returning customer.
I left feeling hungry!
PS – I also think I remember ordering a coke and I got one of those tiny cans, oh please, you are not a nightclub!
Referring to Cavendish Outlet, not sure if they are all the same.
