Hatfields is a restaurant and bar in Gardens, very near to the famous Engen garage. The downstairs section is dedicated to a bar and restaurant which serves pub food. On the second floor there is a pool room and a room housing several slot machines. Finally, on the top floor there is a lounge section coupled with another bar for the more relaxed.
The upstairs section is relaxed and many people head up there to lounge around in front of the big screen TV and enjoy some pizza and drinks.
The menu is varied with many items for a reasonable price. Expect to find things like pizza, steak, cottage pie, and salads. Most items are reasonably priced but you can expect to wait for your food.
- The pizzas at Hatfields are great. Also a size upgrade only costs R5 so you should go for it
- The upstairs lounge area can be a good spot for a drink after work, and to watch sport
- Hatfields is on Hatfield Street very near the Engen on Orange (Hatfield becomes Plein after passing Parliament)
- Turn down the hill at the traffic lights at the Engen garage on Orange (marked as Mill on the map)
- Hatfields is on your right at the first side road - its on the corner
- There is normally some parking on the other side of the road
