Lions Head is a popular site for paragliders because of its easy launch site, amazing views, proximity to the city and good landing sites. For this reason there are several operators offering tandem flights for complete beginners from Lions Head.

The average flight lasts about 20-30 minutes and is completely controlled by the pilot. Passengers require no experience and are safely strapped in to enjoy the views and thrills.

Tips
  • Note that Lions Head is by no means the only paragliding site in Cape Town - there are several other good options.
  • It can get a little chilly - most operators recommend warmish cloths (long pants and top)
