Cafe Bravo

Café Bravo is an Italian restaurant alongside the ocean on Beach Road in Mouille Point. There is a fairly large inside section and a popular patio area with views of Signal Hill, the Promenade and the Atlantic ocean. Bravo is open all day and is popular as a breakfast and dinner destination.

Cafe Bravo specializes in large rectangular pizzas served on wooden boards. The pizza is good with a very thin crispy base and the novelty of the shape and board add to the experience.

Cafe Bravo also serves large and tasty salads, pastas, breakfasts, burgers and steaks. There is a reasonable wine selection although the cheapest glass is R29. Café Bravo offer several specials (especially in winter) with very good deals to be had. For instance in July 2008 there is a Tuesday special offering 1kg of prawns for R49.

• When the weather is bad they close the patio entrance and getting into the restaurant can be tricky. Enter through the hotel door (on the right) and then through the first door on your left into Café Bravo
