Suburban train to Simon's Town

Catch the train along the Southern line, from Cape Town Station, Observatory, Rondebosch, Newlands, Kenilworth, Wynberg, Plumstead, Muizenberg and hugging the seashore all the way to Simon's Town. The train fares are very low and this can be a fun way of reaching some of the coastal towns.

Reasonable care should be exercised when taking the train, but it is quite safe. Travel in Metro Plus (previously called first class) isn't expensive but makes the whole trip more comfortable and safer.Try to travel outside peak commuting times when the trains get really crowded. Pay attention - the last trains are very early at night! The service ends around 8pm.
