Reader's Warehouse is a local, independent discount book warehouse based in Tokai, Cape Town, South Africa. They stock a wide variety of books and are able to offer highly competitive prices (check the website for current deals).

Readers warehouse stock a large range of local books, tourist maps and guides, coffee tables books and local writers.

There is an extensive children's book section which has clearly been put together with children in mind. Youngsters should be well entertained in this area while you browse.

Complementary gift wrapping and mail orders are available.

Getting There

Off the M3:

  • Take the Tokai Road off-ramp (last off-ramp before reaching the end of the highway)
  • Turn left into Tokai Road
  • Carry on straight down this road
  • At the end of the road you will come to an traffic intersection. Turn right.
  • You should see a Pick 'n Pay Centre is on the right and Barons Tokai is on the left.
  • Carry on driving up this road until you reach our store.
  • Readers Warehouse will be on your left hand side


Off M5 - Prince Georges Drive:

  • Pass a BP Garage on the right in the Lavender Hill area
  • Pass through the next traffic intersection - Concert Boulevard
  • At the next intersection turn right into Military Road
  • Diskom will be on your left hand side (BP Garage on the left)
  • Cross the railway line, go to the T - Juntion and turn right into Main Road 
  • Reader's Warehouse will be on your right hand side

Lovely store, try to visit it regularly when I can, its incredible.

Be sure to plan a while to browse around, the shelves are full full and you need to make sure to check everything they have
