Stadium on Main includes a bowling alley on the bottom floor. This is a fun, social and inexpensive activity that everyone can take part in. It is therefore popular for groups of friends and for corporate activities. Bowling balls and shoes are available and included in the low price.

On Broadway is an awesome little restaurant nested in Cape Town’s CBD side streets that provides on stage live entertainment. I went to a stand up show preformed by Nik Rabinowitz which was excellent.

Makana aviation offer sightseeing helicopter flights from the V&A Waterfront over various scenic areas of Cape Town. They operate three helicopters catering to different group sizes - a 3 seater, 4 seater and 6 seater.

The Premier Classe train travels between Johannesburg and Cape Town twice a week. Each trip can accommodate 126 passengers in what is meant to "recapture the long lost elegance of luxury train travel and the personalised service of a bygone era" in an overnight trip.

Table Mountain is probably the most well known landmark in Cape Town, and definitely one of the most recognizable mountains in the world. There are several enjoyable hikes up the mountain, but for many the cable car is the perfect way to see Table Mountain. Since 1929 more than 18 million people have visited the top of our mountain in this way!

Robben Island is a former prison and World Heritage Site about 12km from Cape Town which rose to fame as a prison for political prisoners between 1961 and 1991. The most famous Robben Island inmate was Nelson Mandela who spent many of his 27 years of imprisonment there.

Foresters Arms in Newlands is far better known as Forries and is probably Newlands's most popular pub. It is a vibey place that is often packed to capacity when there are sporting events to watch. There is a large bar area and there are tables sprawled around the establishment.

The Artscape Theatre (formerly known as the Nico Malan Opera House) is Cape Town's largest and most modern theatre complex. There is a large 1145 seat opera house, a 540 seat theatre and 2 smaller arenas seating between 100 and 200.

The Satori Camel Run is a new 10mile (16km) running race through Noordhoek and its surroundings. 2008 is the first year that this even is being run and the final route has not been finalized yet. However, the website refers to beach, road and mountain running. Part of the race will be through the Cape Point Vineyards and there are prizes for King and Queen of the mountains at the top of a hill in the vineyards.

The beautiful Winchester Mansions Hotel offers a superb brunch buffet in their restaurant and courtyard every Sunday. The buffet runs from 11:00 to 14:00 and offers a wide variety of very tasty food - everything from eggs to cakes to salads to fish.

Situated on the promenade / beachfront in Mouille Point, a round of Putt Putt provides great entertainment for both young and old. Spectacular views of the mountain and ocean are a bonus!

Reader's Warehouse is a local, independent discount book warehouse based in Tokai, Cape Town, South Africa. They stock a wide variety of books and are able to offer highly competitive prices (check the website for current deals).

Die Strandloper is a superb open air seafood restaurant in Langebaan (about 125km up the west coast from Cape Town). It is a relaxed place on the beach of the Langebaan Lagoon with a sandy floor and tables arranged around the central fish braai. Meals are served over a leisurely three to four hour period and apart from the crayfish everything is eat as much as you like.

Yum is a vibey and popular restaurant in Vredehoek that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. They call their food 'eclectic cuisine' - as well as the normal pastas, burgers, and breakfasts, you can expect to find unusual items such as Thai style mussels or a Cajun chicken and coriander salad.
