Located in one of the oldest buildings in Cape Town (check out the interior walls downstairs) 95 Keerom is a stylish and modern restaurant. The food is excellent and the staff well trained and attentive. The owener, Giorgio comes around to every table to explain the menu and specials - although his accent can be hard to understand!

Gourmet Burger is a great little burger restaurant near the bottom of Long Street. The restaurant is small (only around 10 tables) and has been well decorated - modern and funky decorations and finishes. There is a selection of about 35 burgers of quite some variety.

Skeleton Gorge

Skeleton Gorge is a steep ravine which can be used to climb the back of Table Mountain from the Kirstenbosch botanical gardens. The route is steep but in the forest almost the whole way which is beautiful and helps to keep things cool.

Five Flies is a trendy restaurant situated in the city centre on Keerom Street. The restaurant is in the landmark Rembrandt House building which is now a National Monument. It has been well renovated to form a large restaurant spread over several rooms and two floors. There is an enclosed cobbled courtyard and several smaller rooms (which can cater for private functions)

One of the best gems of Camps Bay is Sinful Ice-cream Emporium, hidden in the promenade building behind the main beach. Flavours range from traditional to ‘Out of Africa’ (koeksisters and amarula) to ‘White chocolate and poppy seed’. Sinful's ice-cream is rates as among the best in Cape Town so it's a worth while stop if you're in Camps Bay.

Carlyles is a busy Italian restaurant in Vredehoek. It has a large smoking section and a bar area which gets quite rowdy at times - it has a bit of a party atmosphere. There are quieter tables in the lower section of the restaurant for the more relaxed, but it seems that this party atmosphere is what draws many people.
