The Kalk Bay theatre is a quaint little theatre (seats 78) and restaurant located in converted old church that was built in 1876. The location and the building make for a homely ambiance.

On Broadway

On Broadway is an awesome little restaurant nested in Cape Town’s CBD side streets that provides on stage live entertainment. I went to a stand up show preformed by Nik Rabinowitz which was excellent.

Vibrant, vivid and wonderfully eccentric are some of the descriptions that come to mind when stepping into the Bohemian Yard Restaurant. A return to yesteryear; a time when dining out was an affair of the senses and a reason to dress up and indulge in all sorts of hedonistic activities! With goblets of wine in hand, you will be hard pressed to make a choice between the grilled fillet of beef and the lamb shank, knowing that you will have to squeeze in the pavlova and an espresso after that.

Monday nights are movies nights – R30 for entrance and pizza (from Divas) and R5 for straight entrance… Come early and find a spot on the sofas or floor to enjoy the movie projected onto the white wall.
