Die Strandloper

Die Strandloper is a superb open air seafood restaurant in Langebaan (about 125km up the west coast from Cape Town). It is a relaxed place on the beach of the Langebaan Lagoon with a sandy floor and tables arranged around the central fish braai. Meals are served over a leisurely three to four hour period and apart from the crayfish everything is eat as much as you like.

Patrons choose a starter (soup, pate, salad, etc), then help themselves to the carvery (roast beef, roasted Karoo lamb, chicken, roast potatoes, etc), and finish up with a  choice from the dessert menu (Crème brulee, chocolate mousse, malva pudding, ice cream, etc).

Africa Café is a restaurant targeted at tourists which serves traditional meals from around Africa. Meals are brought to the tables in bowls and a "communal feast" ensues where diners can east as much as they like of their favorite meals. If you need more of anything the staff will happily oblige.

Suikerbossie Restaurant

The Suikerbossie Restaurant is located on famous Suikerbossie hill between Hout Bay and Llandudno. The restaurant has good views of the ocean and surrounding mountains. Suikerbossie is popular as a venue for functions (especially weddings) and they appear to focus their efforts on functions. That said, Suikerbossie Restaurant is open during the day for breakfast and lunch and also offer a buffet carvery on Sundays and most public holidays.
